A Local Effort

Port Orford Sustainable Seafood began in 2009 when local fishers united to keep more of their catch in their own hands and bring it directly to people who care about its source. Packing each order by hand and delivering it themselves, they built a business from the ground up. That spirit remains today, with every fish caught by someone we know and trust.

We use hook and line gear to catch fish one at a time, reducing waste and protecting sensitive ocean habitats. Our small crane-launched boats naturally limit environmental impact. By keeping processing local, we ensure the value stays in our community and the seafood reaches you fresh and clean.

From labeling each package with the name of the fisher to answering your questions directly, we believe in staying connected. Growth has not changed our small-boat approach or our commitment to sustainability, which means supporting healthy fisheries, strong communities, and a better food system.

Remember, all our seafood is sashimi grade, which means that it is safe to eat without cooking at all. For your enjoyment, please take care to not overcook your portions.
