Terms and Conditions

Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. Signing up means you agree and understand these terms and conditions.

  • Our boats fish year-round so we are able to share our catch with you every month of the year.  Seafood shares are delivered monthly. Our CSF “seasons” last four months. Port Orford’s small boats fish “hook-and-line” for eight major types of seafood: Albacore Tuna, Chinook Salmon, Lingcod, Black Cod, halibut, Dungeness Crab, and rockfish. Our fishing vessels – like all commercial fishing vessels – occasionally have incidental catches (called by-catch) which may include Spiny Dogfish, Skate, or Wolf Eel. At some point these delectable by-catch species may find their way into your monthly seafood share.  You also may receive a taste of our shelf-stable, house-labeled cans/pouches of line-caught Albacore Tuna.
  • There are two seafood share options.
    • 1) Half-Share: Includes about 4lbs seafood. A half share provides ample seafood for two seafood meals, once a week, for one month.
      • Receive a Half-share for one Month for $60.
      • Receive a Season (4 months) of half-shares for $220.
      • Receive a Year (3 seasons) of half-shares for $600.
    • 2) Full-Share: Includes about 8lbs of seafood. A full-share provides four seafood meals, once a week, for one month.
      • Receive a Full-share for one Month for $110.
      • Receive a Season (4 months) of full-shares for $420.
      • Receive a Year (3 seasons) of full shares for $1200
  • All seafood arrives filleted, vacuum sealed and flash frozen.  This allows the product to stay shelf-stable in your freezer so you can enjoy your seafood whenever you want over the course of the month or year.
  • All CSF sign-ups are accepted via Small Farm Central – The POSS website will re-route you to Small Farm Central for sign-up.  You may also call or e-mail Dianne Schofield (dianne@oceanresourceteam.org / 971.409.7848) or Kean Fleming (kean@oceanresourceteam.org / 541.671.0704) to activate a membership. You will receive an email confirmation when your sign-up is complete.
  • In order to reduce our costs and pass those savings on to you, we accept Cash, Check, Dwolla and eChecks via CheckGateway. Please make Checks to POSS and mail or hand-deliver to:
    • Port Orford Sustainable Seafood P.O. Box 407 Port Orford, OR 97465
  • We appreciate full payment up front. We understand that this is not possible for everyone so you may also elect to purchase the monthly membership.
  • Though we appreciate a seasonal commitment, you can join or cancel CSF membership at any time.
  • We cannot guarantee that every fillet is 100% boneless.
  • We guarantee that our seafood products will be maintained at the proper temperature during fishing, landing, processing, delivery, and distribution.  POSS is not responsible for what happens to your share after you pick it up.  Please consider transporting your seafood in a small cooler or insulated bag if you are far from home or your fish is not going straight into your freezer. To ensure seafood product retains its full quality it must be kept cold, so plan your post pick-up schedule accordingly.
  • There will be a sign-in sheet requiring your signature when you pick up your fish.  We will use email and newsletters as pick-up reminders and to inform you about what you will receive in your share.  This will help us defray the cost of labeling each piece of fish.  We will also send out recipes and newsworthy happenings in and around our industry via MailChimp.
  • If you cannot make your scheduled pick-up, please arrange to have someone pick up your share for you.  If someone else is picking up your share, they will need to have your full name to sign-off for you upon pick-up.  If you are going out of town, you can request a vacation hold.  All holds must be placed no later than the Monday preceding that month’s pick-up date.
  • Any share that is left unclaimed after the site’s pick-up deadline will be donated to a local food bank.  We cannot make up shares that are forgotten or left unclaimed.
  • If a delivery is delayed because of hazardous weather conditions or other extenuating circumstances, you will be notified by email.  We will compensate you for a missed share if we are not able to make a delivery.

I have read the terms of the Port Orford Sustainable Seafood Community Supported Fishery Policy and agree to these terms.
